Dr Paul Elgey is a GMC-registered medical doctor (GMC 4711539) who qualified in 2000 at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. For more than 20 years his work has centred on diagnosis, physiology, anatomy, and clinical responsibility — long before dermal fillers and regenerative injectables became everyday conversation — and that clinical foundation is what he now brings to aesthetic medicine.
With over 20 years in medicine and a Level 7 Diploma in Injectables, his approach is deliberately conservative: natural, undetectable results that restore what time has changed rather than alter who you are. First-time patients are deliberately started on lower doses and reviewed at around 2 weeks, because a little more can always be added but an over-treated result has to be waited out. A GP background means he assesses the whole patient, not just the feature in front of him — pattern recognition and risk assessment forged over years of clinical practice, not learnt on a weekend course.

Most people find injections very tolerable — similar to quick pinpricks — and numbing cream is used where helpful. Downtime is usually minimal and most patients return to daily activities immediately. Strenuous exercise is best avoided for 24 hours, and alcohol on the day of treatment to reduce bruising.
