Booking and cancellation
Consultations and treatments are arranged by email or phone. Every patient pathway begins with a doctor-led consultation, at which goals, concerns, and medical history are discussed and a plan is designed around you. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment so the time can be offered to another patient. For dermal filler in patients new to the treatment, a thinking-time interval between consultation and treatment is observed, in line with best-practice guidance.
Clinical scope
Treatments offered at this practice are medical aesthetic procedures delivered by a GMC-registered medical doctor. All treatments are performed following thorough medical assessment. We reserve the right to decline any treatment where we determine it is not clinically indicated, not in your best interest, or unsafe given your medical history — a decision communicated with reasoning but not open to appeal. All patients must be at least 18 years old and have capacity to make decisions about their own healthcare.
Consent
Written informed consent is obtained for every treatment at every visit. Consent covers the specific product, dose, anatomical site, potential risks, and agreed after-care protocol. You may withdraw consent at any time up to the moment of treatment.
Aftercare and complications
Aftercare instructions specific to your treatment are provided at the appointment and, where appropriate, a review is arranged afterwards — particularly for first-time filler patients. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler is fully dissolvable, so an unwanted result can be corrected. Where complications occur, the practice manages them in line with GMC Good Medical Practice standards.
Fees and payment
All fees are quoted in full at consultation before any treatment is performed. There is no obligation to proceed on the day. Finance and instalment plans are not offered for aesthetic procedures, in line with responsible-practice guidance.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your care, please contact info@drpaulelgey.com. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and investigate within 14 days. Unresolved complaints can be escalated to the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service and, ultimately, the General Medical Council.
