Regenerative treatment

Sunekos® Treatment in London

Sunekos® is an injectable skin booster that combines hyaluronic acid with a patented blend of six amino acids to restore hydration, elasticity, and firmness from within. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Sunekos® does not add volume. Instead, it works at a cellular level to regenerate the extracellular matrix of the skin, stimulating your own collagen and elastin production for a natural, refreshed result.

At my clinic in Marylebone, Sunekos® is used to improve:

  • Dehydrated, dull or crepey skin
  • Fine lines and loss of elasticity
  • Under-eye crepiness and a tired appearance
  • Skin quality on the neck and décolletage

It sits within my regenerative portfolio alongside JULÄINE, polynucleotides, and Profhilo, and is one of the most effective options for delicate areas.

  • Deep Hydration

Sunekos floods the skin with hyaluronic acid and six essential amino acids, restoring moisture from the inside out for smoother, plumper, more radiant skin.

  • Improved Elasticity

By stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, Sunekos improves firmness and bounce, helping skin look and feel more youthful over time.

  • Under-Eye Rejuvenation

Particularly effective in the delicate under-eye area, where it softens dark circles, reduces crepiness, and refreshes a tired appearance without the risks of traditional tear trough filler.

  • Regenerative, Not Volumising

Sunekos repairs and rejuvenates the skin rather than filling it. Ideal for patients who want better skin quality without changing facial contours.

I had a great experience with Paul for lip filler and Sunekos injections. He is attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my facial structure, how it moved to ensure a nice balanced and natural look. Also appreciate that he isn’t afraid to say no to more treatments so that things don’t look overdone. Will always be happy to recommend!

I went to Dr Elgey and had 4 mls of dermal filler which he strategically placed in the temples, cheeks and chin and I am honestly blown away by the results. It’s a real game changer! I went in feeling super nervous but Dr Elgey is so knowledgeable, professional and warm - I quickly felt at ease. We spoke at length about my concerns and then he advised me on where the filler should be placed to get the best results. I had absolutely no bruising afterwards and swelling was minimal. The result is so natural but I look so much younger and fresher. I honestly wish I had done it sooner.

I had a consultation and UltraClear treatment with Dr Paul for acne scarring with other skin concerns and my experience has been excellent from start to finish. After speaking with several practitioners, what stood out most was Dr Paul’s honesty and knowledge. I never felt pressured into treatment, and he took the time to explain the reasoning behind his recommendations. Throughout the process, he has been incredibly responsive and supportive, answering all of my questions before and after treatment. He also prepared a personalised pre-treatment skincare cream which made me feel very well looked after. The recovery has also gone smoothly thanks to the clear aftercare instructions and Dr Paul’s ongoing support.

Just had a second polynucleotides treatment under the care of Dr Paul. He took time to explain the treatment, downtime and recovery periods. All of this was done within a friendly engaging environment where he encouraged questions. I'm super happy with the results and the professionalism of how Dr Paul consulted me, especially as I had initially wanted tear trough injections but after review advised on a different course, of polynucleotides. Certainly will be back, and can't recommend enough.

Highly recommend Paul. He really put me at ease, showed careful consideration and thought for the fact I was coming to him after having previous filler in my lips dissolved due to migration, and kept me very well informed throughout the process. Clearly highly skilled and I am so happy to have found someone I can trust with my lips for the long term!

The treatment

What is Sunekos®?

Sunekos® is an injectable skin booster that combines low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a patented blend of six amino acids to restore hydration, elasticity, and firmness from within. Unlike a traditional dermal filler it does not add volume; instead it works at a cellular level to regenerate the skin's extracellular matrix and stimulate your own collagen and elastin.

At my Marylebone clinic Sunekos® sits within my regenerative portfolio alongside JULÄINE, polynucleotides, and Profhilo. It is one of the most effective options for improving skin quality, softening fine lines, and rejuvenating delicate areas such as the under eye, neck, and décolletage.

Indications and applications

What Can Sunekos® Treat?

Sunekos® is particularly effective for:

Restore hydration and texture

Sunekos restores deep hydration to the dermis, leaving skin smoother, plumper, and more radiant.

Stimulate collagen and elastin

The amino acid blend triggers your skin's own regenerative processes, improving firmness and elasticity over time.

Soften fine lines and wrinkles

By rebuilding the structural quality of the skin, Sunekos helps to soften expression lines and reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles.

Rejuvenate the under-eye area

One of the few injectable treatments suited to delicate periorbital skin, addressing crepiness and a tired appearance.

Treat several areas

Suitable for the face, under-eye, neck, décolletage, hands, and arms, so a plan can address more than the face alone.

Keep results natural

There is no volume change and no overfilled look; the improvement happens gradually and looks like better skin, not treated skin.

Signature technique

Dermal Biogenesis from Within

Sunekos® works through a process called dermal biogenesis.

Once injected into the skin, the combination of hyaluronic acid and amino acids stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin. This rebuilds the extracellular matrix, the supportive structure that gives skin its strength, elasticity, and ability to retain moisture.

Two main formulations are used depending on your individual needs, with the option of the newer Sunekos Performa for enhanced results.

Understand the Science Behind Treatment

What can be treated?

Sunekos does not add volume; it regenerates the extracellular matrix to improve hydration, elasticity, and quality, and is one of the few injectables suited to the delicate under-eye.

Your treatment journey

Sunekos® Treatment Protocol

My approach to Sunekos® in London follows a structured, doctor-led process.

  • Consultation: a detailed assessment of your skin, your concerns, and your goals. I will explain whether Sunekos is the right starting point or whether another regenerative option would suit you better.
  • Preparation: the treatment area is cleansed thoroughly. Topical anaesthetic can be applied for comfort, particularly for treatments around the eyes.
  • Injection: Sunekos is delivered using a fine needle or cannula, depending on the area treated. Each session takes approximately 30 minutes.
  • Course of treatment: most patients require three to four sessions, spaced two to three weeks apart, for optimal results. Improvements continue to develop over the following weeks as new collagen forms.
  • Maintenance: a single maintenance session every six months helps to sustain results over the long term.

Sunekos® Pricing

Pricing depends on:

  • The formulation used, including the newer Sunekos Performa
  • The area treated, with the under-eye priced differently to the full face
  • The number of sessions in your course, usually three to four

Sunekos is a course treatment. You are quoted for the plan rather than the appointment, at consultation, before anything is booked.

Sunekos® FAQs

If you are curious about the treatment, aftercare, or potential side effects, the answers to common questions are below. Sunekos improves skin quality rather than adding volume, which changes what to expect and when.

What is Sunekos® made of?

Sunekos is an injectable combination of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and a patented formula of six amino acids: glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-valine, and L-alanine. These ingredients work together to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin within the skin, restoring elasticity, hydration, and quality from within. Sunekos is not a dermal filler. It does not add volume. It regenerates the skin itself.

What areas can be treated with Sunekos®?

Sunekos can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, and under-eye area. It is particularly effective for the delicate periorbital skin where traditional fillers can carry higher risks. Many patients use Sunekos to refresh tired-looking eyes, soften crepey skin on the neck, or improve overall skin quality on the face.

What is the difference between Sunekos® and Profhilo?

Both Profhilo and Sunekos are bio-remodelling treatments, but they work differently. Profhilo uses pure hyaluronic acid in a high concentration to deeply hydrate and remodel the skin. Sunekos combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids, which act as the building blocks for new collagen and elastin. In practice, Profhilo is excellent for overall facial hydration and laxity in the mid to lower face. Sunekos is particularly effective for the under-eye area and for skin that needs structural improvement rather than just hydration. The two treatments can also be combined in a single regenerative plan.

What is the difference between Sunekos® and polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are DNA fragments that stimulate tissue repair and regeneration. Sunekos uses amino acids and hyaluronic acid to do something similar through a different mechanism. Polynucleotides are particularly well known for their effect on the under-eye area and for repairing damaged or compromised skin. Sunekos offers broader hydration and skin quality improvement. During your consultation, I will recommend the most appropriate option for your skin, or sometimes a combination of both.

How many Sunekos® sessions will I need?

A typical course is three to four sessions, spaced two to three weeks apart. You may begin to see improvements after the first session, but the most noticeable results develop after the full course. Maintenance treatments every six months help to sustain results.

Does Sunekos® hurt?

Most patients describe Sunekos as well tolerated. Topical numbing cream is applied for comfort, particularly around the eyes. You may feel a brief pinprick sensation at each injection point, but discomfort is generally mild and short-lived.

Are there any side effects?

Sunekos is considered very safe. The most common side effects are mild redness, swelling, and small bumps at the injection sites, which usually settle within 24 hours. Bruising is possible with any injectable treatment. Because Sunekos is not cross-linked, the risk of nodules or persistent lumps is very low.

Who is not suitable for Sunekos®?

Sunekos is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in the presence of active skin infection (including cold sores in the area), or if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients. Patients on blood-thinning medication, those who have recently had a vaccination, or those who have undergone recent facial procedures may need to delay treatment. Your full medical history will be reviewed during consultation.

Is Sunekos® suitable for my skin?

Sunekos is appropriate for most adult patients looking to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and quality. It is particularly well suited to patients with crepey under-eye skin, mild laxity, fine lines, sun damage, or a generally tired appearance. During your consultation I will assess your skin in detail and explain whether Sunekos is the right starting point for you, or whether another regenerative or combination approach would suit you better.
