I had a great experience with Paul for lip filler and Sunekos injections. He is attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my facial structure, how it moved to ensure a nice balanced and natural look. Also appreciate that he isn’t afraid to say no to more treatments so that things don’t look overdone. Will always be happy to recommend!

I went to Dr Elgey and had 4 mls of dermal filler which he strategically placed in the temples, cheeks and chin and I am honestly blown away by the results. It’s a real game changer! I went in feeling super nervous but Dr Elgey is so knowledgeable, professional and warm - I quickly felt at ease. We spoke at length about my concerns and then he advised me on where the filler should be placed to get the best results. I had absolutely no bruising afterwards and swelling was minimal. The result is so natural but I look so much younger and fresher. I honestly wish I had done it sooner.

I had a consultation and UltraClear treatment with Dr Paul for acne scarring with other skin concerns and my experience has been excellent from start to finish. After speaking with several practitioners, what stood out most was Dr Paul’s honesty and knowledge. I never felt pressured into treatment, and he took the time to explain the reasoning behind his recommendations. Throughout the process, he has been incredibly responsive and supportive, answering all of my questions before and after treatment. He also prepared a personalised pre-treatment skincare cream which made me feel very well looked after. The recovery has also gone smoothly thanks to the clear aftercare instructions and Dr Paul’s ongoing support.

Just had a second polynucleotides treatment under the care of Dr Paul. He took time to explain the treatment, downtime and recovery periods. All of this was done within a friendly engaging environment where he encouraged questions. I'm super happy with the results and the professionalism of how Dr Paul consulted me, especially as I had initially wanted tear trough injections but after review advised on a different course, of polynucleotides. Certainly will be back, and can't recommend enough.

Highly recommend Paul. He really put me at ease, showed careful consideration and thought for the fact I was coming to him after having previous filler in my lips dissolved due to migration, and kept me very well informed throughout the process. Clearly highly skilled and I am so happy to have found someone I can trust with my lips for the long term!

The treatment
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse is a dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It smooths moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial folds, and enhances facial contours by providing immediate volume while stimulating the body's own collagen production.
Once injected it acts as a scaffold under the skin, giving structure straight away and prompting your own natural collagen to grow over the following months. The product is gradually absorbed by the body, leaving that new collagen behind for natural, long-lasting results across the cheeks, jawline, chin and hands.

Treatment overview
How Does Radiesse® Work?
Radiesse treatment works by providing immediate volume under the skin once injected.
Importantly, Radiesse® acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow. This process continues for several months, which extends the initial effect.
Radiesse® is eventually absorbed by the body, leaving behind the natural collagen for long-lasting results.
What can be treated?
Radiesse restores facial structure with immediate volume, then stimulates your own collagen for longer-term firmness.
- Facial volume loss
- Loss of jawline and chin definition
- Loss of firmness and skin quality
- Moderate to severe wrinkles and folds
- Loss of volume in the hands

How your Radiesse® is placed
Radiesse provides immediate volume and then acts as a scaffold that stimulates your own collagen, so the effect builds over the following months and, as the product is absorbed, leaves natural collagen behind for long-lasting results.
- Calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres that give structure and immediate volume
- Stimulates your own natural collagen, which continues for several months
- Often placed with a cannula, with a local anaesthetic applied for comfort
- Gradually absorbed by the body, leaving new collagen behind
- Results typically last around 12 to 18 months

What to expect
Radiesse® Treatment Protocol
- Consultation: discussing your aesthetic concerns and goals to determine if Radiesse treatment is the best suited treatment.
- Preparation: the treatment area is cleaned, and a local anaesthetic may be applied to ensure comfort.
- Injection: Radiesse® is carefully injected using a cannula into the predetermined areas of the face.
- Post-treatment care: minimal downtime is needed, and you can return to your normal activities shortly after treatment. Instructions might include avoiding excessive sun or heat exposure and refraining from strenuous activities for a day or two.

Treatment longevity
Longevity of Radiesse®
Radiesse® typically lasts a year or more, depending on your metabolism, the area treated, and your lifestyle.
Because it is a biostimulator rather than a simple volumiser, the effect has two phases. There is the immediate structure from the gel carrier, and then the collagen your own body lays down around the scaffold over the following months. The gel is absorbed; the collagen is what remains.
That is why the result often looks better at three months than at three weeks, and why Radiesse suits patients who want gradual, durable firmness rather than an instant change.
Pricing
Radiesse® Pricing
Pricing depends on:
- The number of syringes needed for the areas treated
- Whether Radiesse is used for contour, for skin quality, or both
- Any treatments combined with it in the same plan
You are quoted at consultation, once the areas have been assessed and the plan agreed, so you know the full cost before anything is booked.

Doctor-led biostimulation
Why Choose Dr Paul Elgey?
Radiesse is not reversible in the way hyaluronic acid filler is, which raises the bar on assessment. Choosing it means being confident it is the right product, in the right plane, for the right patient.
With over 20 years of medical practice and advanced aesthetic training, my focus is:
- Safety
- Precision
- Natural outcomes
- Long-term skin health
Biostimulators build slowly. I plan for where your face will be in six months, not how it looks the day after treatment.

Are there any risks?
Dr Paul has treated thousands of patients, each with their own unique anatomy and shape. He has mastered a lip filler London technique that is safe and effective, whilst ensuring an entirely comfortable procedure. Whilst lip filler treatments are generally safe, they do carry some risks that, although rare, are important to consider, including: Swelling and Bruising: Common but typically resolves within a few days. Infection: Rare, but possible if post-treatment care instructions are not followed. Lumps and Bumps: Can occur but are often temporary and can be massaged out or dissolved if persistent. Allergic Reactions: Uncommon with hyaluronic acid fillers.
What are the benefits of Radiesse®
Immediate Volumisation: Provides quick results by restoring lost volume in areas like cheeks, jawline, and nasolabial folds. Collagen Stimulation: Encourages the production of natural collagen, improving skin quality over time. Long-Lasting Results: Effects are durable, typically lasting a year or more, depending on the individual’s metabolism and lifestyle. Non-Toxic and Non-Allergenic: Composed of substances similar to those found naturally in the body, reducing the risk of allergic reactions.
What are the risks of Radiesse®
Radiesse® is considered safe and effective, but like all medical procedures, it carries some risks, including: Redness, Swelling, and Bruising: Common side effects that usually resolve within a few days. Lumps or Bumps: Occasionally, small lumps may form at the injection site but often resolve naturally or with minimal intervention. Infection: A rare but potential complication that can be mitigated by following proper post-treatment care.
What is the longevity of Radiesse®
The results of Radiesse® are both immediate and long-lasting. Initially, you will see an immediate improvement in the treated areas. The natural collagen growth means that your skin will continue to improve over the following months. The effects of Radiesse® typically last for about 12 to 18 months, depending on the treatment area and your body’s response to the fillers.
What areas can be treated with Radiesse®?
Radiesse® can be used across multiple areas of the face and body to restore structure, improve contours, and support long term collagen stimulation. It is commonly used for facial volume restoration, smoothing moderate to severe wrinkles, and enhancing definition in areas such as the jawline and chin. Radiesse® is also an effective option for hand rejuvenation and for stimulating collagen to improve skin quality and firmness over time, delivering durable and natural looking results.
