I had a consultation and UltraClear treatment with Dr Paul for acne scarring with other skin concerns and my experience has been excellent from start to finish. After speaking with several practitioners, what stood out most was Dr Paul’s honesty and knowledge. I never felt pressured into treatment, and he took the time to explain the reasoning behind his recommendations. Throughout the process, he has been incredibly responsive and supportive, answering all of my questions before and after treatment. He also prepared a personalised pre-treatment skincare cream which made me feel very well looked after. The recovery has also gone smoothly thanks to the clear aftercare instructions and Dr Paul’s ongoing support.

I had a great experience with Paul for lip filler and Sunekos injections. He is attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my facial structure, how it moved to ensure a nice balanced and natural look. Also appreciate that he isn’t afraid to say no to more treatments so that things don’t look overdone. Will always be happy to recommend!

I went to Dr Elgey and had 4 mls of dermal filler which he strategically placed in the temples, cheeks and chin and I am honestly blown away by the results. It’s a real game changer! I went in feeling super nervous but Dr Elgey is so knowledgeable, professional and warm - I quickly felt at ease. We spoke at length about my concerns and then he advised me on where the filler should be placed to get the best results. I had absolutely no bruising afterwards and swelling was minimal. The result is so natural but I look so much younger and fresher. I honestly wish I had done it sooner.

Just had a second polynucleotides treatment under the care of Dr Paul. He took time to explain the treatment, downtime and recovery periods. All of this was done within a friendly engaging environment where he encouraged questions. I'm super happy with the results and the professionalism of how Dr Paul consulted me, especially as I had initially wanted tear trough injections but after review advised on a different course, of polynucleotides. Certainly will be back, and can't recommend enough.

Highly recommend Paul. He really put me at ease, showed careful consideration and thought for the fact I was coming to him after having previous filler in my lips dissolved due to migration, and kept me very well informed throughout the process. Clearly highly skilled and I am so happy to have found someone I can trust with my lips for the long term!

Before and After results
These before and after images show real patient results following UltraClear laser treatment, with visible improvement in skin texture, pigmentation, and overall skin quality just one week after treatment.
UltraClear is an advanced fractional laser designed to stimulate collagen production at multiple depths within the skin. By combining both deeper (Ultra) and superficial (Clear) modes in a single session, the treatment targets fine lines, uneven skin tone, and textural irregularities while supporting long term skin regeneration.
Patients often notice early improvements within the first 7 to 10 days, as seen here, with continued enhancement over the following weeks as collagen remodelling progresses.
If you are searching for UltraClear laser before and after results, this case demonstrates the kind of natural, progressive improvement that can be achieved with a personalised, doctor led approach.
All treatments are tailored to individual skin concerns, and results will vary.
Treatment overview
What Is UltraClear?
UltraClear is a medical grade fractional laser that resurfaces the skin in a controlled and precise way.
Instead of removing the entire surface of the skin, it creates thousands of microscopic treatment points. The surrounding healthy skin is left intact, which helps the area heal more quickly.
This controlled process stimulates:
- New collagen production
- Smoother texture
- Brighter tone
- Healthier looking skin
Think of it as encouraging your skin to rebuild itself rather than simply polishing the surface.
What can be treated?
UltraClear is used to soften fine lines, refine rough or uneven texture, improve overall tone and the look of the skin's surface, and address early signs of ageing.
- Acne scarring
- Sun damage and pigmentation
- Early skin laxity
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Enlarged pores and rough texture

3D Miracl™️
3D Miracle is a gentle, non ablative laser mode designed to improve skin quality with minimal downtime.
Rather than removing layers of skin, this mode delivers controlled energy beneath the surface, stimulating collagen and elastin production while leaving the outer skin largely intact.
This gradual regenerative process helps improve overall skin health while maintaining a natural appearance.
This treatment can help improve:
- Improving dull or uneven skin tone
- Enhancing skin brightness and radiance
- Refining pores
- Smoothing mild texture irregularities
- Early signs of ageing
Many patients choose 3D Miracle as a preventative treatment to maintain skin quality and support long term collagen production.
Think of it as a subtle skin renewal treatment that encourages the skin to behave like younger, healthier tissue.

Modes
Clear
Clear mode is designed to refresh and refine the skin’s surface while improving tone and texture. This light fractional treatment creates microscopic treatment zones that gently resurface the upper layers of skin while stimulating collagen beneath the surface.
The surrounding healthy skin remains intact, allowing the skin to recover quickly while gradually improving its appearance.
This treatment can help improve:
- Improving dull or uneven skin tone
- Enhancing skin brightness and radiance
- Improving superficial pigmentation and sun damage
- Refining enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
- Softening mild acne scarring
Many patients notice their skin appears smoother, brighter and more refined after treatment.
Think of Clear mode as a treatment that refreshes the skin’s surface while supporting deeper skin renewal.

Modes
Ultra
Ultra is the most advanced resurfacing mode within the UltraClear platform, designed to significantly rejuvenate the skin and restore a smoother, firmer appearance. By delivering precise fractional laser energy deeper within the skin, Ultra stimulates powerful collagen remodelling while improving the surface quality of the skin.
This controlled regenerative process encourages the skin to rebuild itself from within, gradually improving skin strength, elasticity and overall structure.
This treatment can help improve:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin laxity and early jowl formation
- Sun damaged or aged skin
- Acne scarring and uneven texture
- Loss of skin firmness and elasticity
Many patients notice their skin becoming firmer, smoother and more youthful in appearance as collagen continues to develop over the following months.
Think of Ultra as a treatment that not only refreshes the skin’s surface, but rebuilds the underlying structure of the skin to create long lasting rejuvenation.

Modes
Coring
Coring is a highly specialised laser technique designed to treat deeper structural skin concerns with exceptional precision.
Rather than simply resurfacing the skin, coring creates tiny vertical channels within the skin promoting significant collagen remodelling and structural improvement.
Coring can be particularly effective for improving:
- Deep acne scars
- Surgical scars and traumatic scars
- Stretch marks
- Localised areas of skin laxity
- Early changes in delicate areas such as the eyelids
Over time, the skin gradually becomes smoother, firmer and more even in appearance as new collagen and healthy tissue develop.
Think of coring as a highly precise regenerative treatment that helps the skin repair areas where normal skin structure has been disrupted.

Technology and precision
Why Choose UltraClear Instead of Traditional CO₂ Laser?
Many patients ask about CO₂ resurfacing.
CO₂ lasers are effective but can involve longer recovery and more prolonged redness.
UltraClear uses a newer wavelength that allows more controlled resurfacing with less excess heat in the surrounding skin. For many patients, this means:
- Reduced downtime
- Faster healing
- Lower risk of prolonged redness
- Greater flexibility in treatment depth
The best option depends on your skin type and goals, which we discuss during consultation.

UltraClear Laser FAQs
If you are considering UltraClear laser treatment and want to understand how it works, what to expect during recovery, or any potential side effects, the answers to common questions are below.
Is UltraClear safe for my skin type?
UltraClear can be adjusted to suit a wide range of skin types. However, darker skin tones may require more conservative settings or staged treatment to minimise pigmentation risks. Your consultation includes a full assessment of your skin type, medical history and previous treatments to ensure safety.
Does UltraClear hurt?
For lighter treatments, topical numbing cream is usually sufficient. For deeper treatments, we may use additional anaesthetic options to ensure comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as warm and prickly rather than painful.
What is the downtime?
Downtime depends on how deeply we treat. Light resurfacing involves redness for a few days and mild flaking. Moderate resurfacing typically means 4 to 7 days of redness and bronzing. Deeper treatments require around 7 to 10 days recovery. You will be given detailed aftercare guidance to support healing.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the condition being treated. Mild rejuvenation typically requires 1 to 2 sessions. Acne scarring usually needs 3 to 4 sessions. Maintenance may involve an annual review or top-up. Your treatment plan is tailored to you.
Can UltraClear be combined with other treatments?
Yes. UltraClear works beautifully alongside Polynucleotides, Biostimulators, medical grade skincare, and LED phototherapy. The goal is not just resurfacing, but long-term skin health.
Is UltraClear right for me?
UltraClear is ideal if you want noticeable improvement without surgery, have acne scarring, feel your skin looks tired or sun damaged, or want real collagen stimulation rather than just a temporary glow. It may not be suitable if you have active skin infection, are pregnant, or have certain inflammatory skin conditions. Suitability is always assessed in consultation.
UltraClear laser vs CO2 laser
Both treatments resurface the skin and boost collagen for smoother, younger-looking results, but the experience is very different. CO2 lasers require several weeks downtime, while UltraClear patients typical have several days downtime with mild redness following for 5-7 days. Ultraclear can also be used on all skin tones, making it an excellent choice for patients who may have previously been excluded from laser treatments due to the risk of post treatment hyperpigmentation.
